⏱ About 6–8 minutes
How to do it

Listen → speak → flip

Try once before you look at the model. You do not need a perfect sentence.
① Listen once
② Answer out loud
③ Flip only after speaking
1 · Listening flashcards

Meet four students

Each card asks you to do something different with the information you hear.
1

Student A

Say TWO facts you understood.

If you miss a word, listen again — but do not read anything yet.

Now add one reaction:
“Really? That sounds cool.”

2

Student B

Listen, then ask Leo ONE connected question.

Use something he actually said. Do not ask a random question.

Possible questions

“What games do you play?”
“What food do you want to try?”
“What are you doing after orientation?”

Any natural follow-up is correct.

3

Student C

Hana has no plans after class. React + invite her to do something.

One natural answer

“Oh, you sound tired. Would you like to hang out after class?”

You could also invite her to get food, walk around, or visit a museum.

4

New student

Sofia asks “What about you?”
Answer with 2 facts about you + 1 question for her.

Example

“I’m from Brazil and I’m really into sports. It’s my first time in Canada too. What kind of music do you like?”

Your answer can be different. Keep it simple and natural.

2 · Quick challenge

The plan changes

Listen to Sofia’s update. Then answer her immediately — no script.

Change the plan. Suggest a different time or day.

Need a rescue phrase?

“No problem. What about after your orientation?”
or
“Okay. Maybe we can go tomorrow instead.”

3 · Finish

20–30 second voice note

Choose ONE student from the homework. Imagine you are talking to that person. Send a short reply with:

✓ one reaction ✓ one fact about you ✓ one follow-up question

Do not write a full script. Keywords are enough.
